This wine comes from an estate owned by the Bortolussi family since the 1950s. The classically rich wine has plenty of the firm Tannat tannins. These are mitigated by perfumed Cabernet Franc to give a ripe, structured wine that will age further. Drink from 2025.

Gently honeyed, this wine comes from vineyards in the same area as Madiran. It has good balance between sweetness and acidity, bringing together creamed-apple and orange-zest flavors along with a structured edge. Drink from 2023. 

PACHERENC DU VIC BILH SEC -  Séraphin 2020

This oddly-named appellation covers the same area as Madiran, producing sweet and dry white wines. This dry wine includes some of the really local Arrufiac with the two Mansengs. It is tangy, textured, well structured and full of white fruits. Already very drinkable, it will be better from 2023.
